Why I love twitter number n+1: Mini-collaboration

0 This week I braved the thicket of plugins for WordPress, and built a really simple and basic widget for displaying a Zotero feed. I was amazed and humbled by the retweeting that happened after @zotero tweeted about it. Many thanks to all of you.

0I've been following MarsPhoenix on Twitter for a while, and was delighted to see a really neat use of Twitter -- people tweeting questions to the probe, anthropomorphized.

Reflection on Patrick vs. the Pipes

0A neat thing happened during my twittering about the plumbing joys last weekend. At some point, I think somewhere in day two, I stopped thinking of the tweets as individual items, and started thinking of them as a narrative. That struck me as important because it think it makes a good analogy to what we want students to do with a liberal arts education (or any education, for that matter).

0Following Faculty Academy, many people around UMW have caught the Twitter-bug. A few people wondered about how it could be used as a communication channel in the classroom, sort of as a guided back-channel communication.
