This week I braved the thicket of plugins for WordPress, and built a really simple and basic widget for displaying a Zotero feed. I was amazed and humbled by the retweeting that happened after @zotero tweeted about it. Many thanks to all of you.

I've been following MarsPhoenix on Twitter for a while, and was delighted to see a really neat use of Twitter -- people tweeting questions to the probe, anthropomorphized.

A neat thing happened during my twittering about the plumbing joys last weekend. At some point, I think somewhere in day two, I stopped thinking of the tweets as individual items, and started thinking of them as a narrative. That struck me as important because it think it makes a good analogy to what we want students to do with a liberal arts education (or any education, for that matter).

Here's the tale...I've put the tweets back in chronological order, and edited out the ones that weren't relevant.

Epilogue

Following Faculty Academy, many people around UMW have caught the Twitter-bug. A few people wondered about how it could be used as a communication channel in the classroom, sort of as a guided back-channel communication.
